Website Accessibility Policy
In 1998, Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act to require Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. Inaccessible technology interferes with an individual's ability to obtain and use information quickly and easily. Section 508 was enacted to eliminate barriers in information technology, to make available new opportunities for people with disabilities, and to encourage development of technologies that will help achieve these goals.
HawaiiTourismAuthority.org wishes to ensure access to this site is available to all individuals. This site has been designed to be compatible with a wide variety of browsers, mobile devices, and with assistive technologies in mind. To this end, this site aims to conform to W3C's "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0", available at https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20/, Level AA Success Criteria.
Selected non-text (e.g., video) and downloadable non-web content (e.g., PDFs, Excel files, etc.) may not be fully optimized for accessibility yet. We realize achieving website accessibility is an ongoing effort and our goal is to make access available to all individuals. Therefore, we are continually striving to extend accessible practices on HawaiiTourismAuthority.org. Improving access to citizens with disabilities is one of our top priorities, and any suggestions or comments are welcome.
